On Wednesday, April 29, the APPG on Geographically Protected Foods is delighted to be joined by three leading international experts on GIs, who do there research here in the United Kingdom. Dr Barbara Tocco, Dr Stephen Roper and Dr Matthew Gorton have assisted the APPG in designing our GI survey, and will give APPG Members an update on their research into the impacts of GIs, and how GI schemes can be best designed to ensure maximum economic and social impact.

As the UK builds its new GI scheme, it is vital that we listen to the experts to ensure our scheme can be as effective and wide-ranging as possible.
